*USC SOM Third Year Elective

Spartanburg Regional Medical Center offers an elective in Orthopedic Surgery where the student rotates through a private practice group that has subspecialties in total joint arthroplasty, sports medicine, and microvascular surgery.  The student will participate in an office setting and as a working operative assistant.  The student will also participate in treatment of trauma victims through the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center Emergency Room.  This elective is geared to the individual and their participation will be tailored for their educational level.
