This course offers a brief intensive exposure to common procedures performed in the office of  Family Medicine physicians.  Common procedures include colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, nasolaryngoscopy, coloposcopy, endometrial biopsy, dermatological procedures, casting and splinting, ultrasound, stress testing and others.  Indications, informed consent, conscious sedation and potential complications will be reviewed in addition to procedural technique.  Direct hands-on teaching in both clinical settings and with models are planned.  Any student who would like to gain more experience with office based procedures and ambulatory medicine delivery are welcome
