This introductory course in family medicine will offer the student an opportunity to practice history taking, perform physical examinations, interpret laboratory data and chart medical/lab findings in the SOAP record keeping format. In addition, the student will observe patient/family dynamics, patient/physician interactions, office management and community resource referral patterns within the family practice center. A record of activities will be kept in a daily log and reviewed with the coordinating instructor each week.
