This four-week elective is focused on Anatomic Pathology.  The student will be exposed to surgical pathology, autopsy pathology, bone marrows, and cytology.  The student should gain a general understanding of the process involved in arriving at accurate pathologic diagnoses.  The student will have one-on-one interaction with the pathology staff.  The staff is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology with subspecialty certification in dermatopathology, hematopathology, cytology, immunopathology, pediatric pathology, blood transfusion medicine, and forensic pathology.   The course is fairly flexible and can usually be tailored to meet the specific needs or interests of the student.
